About HR Dasara
HR DASARA – An Insight into Mysore Industrial Prosperity
Vijayadashami, popularly known as Dasara, is a festival that signifies the triumph of good over evil & the restoration of dharma. The tradition of celebrating Dasara in Mysuru began in 1610 CE under Raja Wodeyar I, the visionary ruler of the Wadiyar dynasty, as a demonstration of devotion, sovereignty & strength.
Over centuries, Dasara has evolved into more than a cultural celebration—it has become a symbol of victory, resilience & growth. In today’s context, a nation’s true victory lies in its ability to achieve sustainable economic prosperity through industrialization, technology & manufacturing excellence. With this backdrop, the Mysore CHRO Forum, in collaboration with the Edin Foundation, is proud to present a pioneering initiative, “HR Dasara – An Insight into Mysuru’s Industrial Prosperity.”
The conference is structured around the theme “HR Navami – A 9 day HR festivity”, with each day offering a blend of corporate insights, industrial showcases & cultural experiences. The 9-day industry & cultural conference is designed to spotlight Mysuru’s economic growth trajectory, highlighting ongoing industrial projects, future opportunities & the city’s potential as a hub for manufacturing, IT & innovation. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge heritage with progress, presenting Mysuru not only as the cultural capital of Karnataka but also as a rising industrial powerhouse. The conference opens with a signature charity initiative, Mega Wish Box, dedicated to sharing the festive spirit with underprivileged children from tribal regions of Mysuru.
HR Dasara is more than an event—it is a movement to integrate Mysuru’s heritage with its industrial future. By bringing together leaders from HR, academia, industry & government, this initiative aims to create a roadmap for sustainable growth, positioning Mysuru as both a cultural capital & an emerging industrial powerhouse.
